With more than 10 years of experience and over 25 scientific publications, Dr. Parrilla is a recognized expert in women’s health and molecular genetic pathology. Before joining Core Plus, Dr. Parrilla has held Assistant Professorships at the University of Washington and Duke University, where he focused on breast and gynecologic malignancies, tumor predisposition syndromes, and has formed part of multiple high-profile clinical trials in immunotherapeutics, neo-adjuvant radiotherapy, and cancer vaccines. In addition, he has held Medical Directorships at Almac Diagnostics and currently, Q Squared Genomics. Dr. Parrilla obtained his M.D.-Ph.D. from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine and Mayo Clinic, after which he completed Anatomic Pathology residency at the National Institutes of Health, and fellowships in Selective Surgical Pathology and Molecular Genetic Pathology at the Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education. He is currently Board Certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic Pathology and Molecular Genetic Pathology.
